Unrequited Love Part 3

Some days it's best to stay on shore.

Surfing will be my new metaphor for awhile. Usually it's baseball, but I am studying surfing.

What do you think went through this surfer's mind when he saw that?

Yet he wants to catch a wave. Needs to catch one.

A lot like love in a postmodern world.

And I am not being cynical.

It might be that he didn't see it; forest for the trees sort of thing.

It's a great analogy for, well, something, "Missing the circling sharks."

Is the risk worth the reward to be gained.

That is what he is thinking. He sees the shark, he just may think the risk is worth his life

OR

Is the risk to high for something that is not a sure thing. can't be sure some other guy will catch the bigger wave and win the goods

OR

The challenge of continueing on in the midst of the risk, which could gain him greater experience, or self confidence or some sort of conquering thing

Who knows for sure, he is weighing the cost.

I think it's a huge dolphin, not a shark, so the surfer probably got excited and wanted to get closer. Dolphins body surf near where I live all the time, it's awesome to see! I know that's pretty darn big for a dolphin - but I am pretty sure it is one.
